Expertise Cartography, spatial data and analysis, and geospatial code development
Mr. Fiske is a geographer whose background includes extensive use of geographic techniques including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Cartography, Remote Sensing, and relational database management and design to conduct and communicate environmental science. He has broad expertise in cloud-based spatial data analysis and data management and administers technical aspects of Woods Hole Research Center’s geospatial activities. He has designed and developed complex spatial analysis workflows and has taught scientists, students, and researchers on the use of both open-source and proprietary geospatial software. Prior to joining WHRC, he worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. Mr. Fiske earned his B.S. from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and his M.S. from Oregon State University.
